Support for meaningful change

What This May Include

Cloud migration and modernization may include:

Moving workloads or services into Microsoft cloud platforms

Modernizing outdated systems or infrastructure

Improving the use of Microsoft 365 and Azure

Reducing dependence on aging on-premises systems where appropriate

Supporting better collaboration and access through cloud tools

Planning changes in a way that reduces business disruption

Why It Matters

Legacy systems often hold the business back

Outdated systems create drag. They increase support burden, limit flexibility, and make it harder for the business to scale or operate efficiently.

Modernization helps businesses:

We keep it transparent, always. Here’s what our clients say!

I reached out to SixWatch to get my new company computer set up. I was sure it would be a grueling, all day process. However, to my surprise, it was painless and so convenient. Thomas was very helpful in making sure all my data & files were transferred over and that I was comfortable, confident even, in the use of my new machine. He even assured me that if I had any issues, he'd be readily available to help. 10 stars for having my six!

Over the first week, i was experiencing issues the remote connecting freezing up using Ninja remote. After testing and reconfigurations, it was still not working correctly I have to them 5 stars for their speedy response time, knowledge and professionalism. Thank you Sixwatch :)...

Cloud Migration Without the Surprises

A Cloud Migration goes wrong in predictable ways: workloads get lifted as-is and cost three times what they did on-premises, an application nobody documented turns out to depend on a file share, or the cutover window slips because identity was left until last. None of that is inevitable. It is what happens when the migration is treated as a moving exercise rather than a design exercise.

Decide What Actually Moves

Not everything belongs in the cloud, and not everything that does should move in the same way. Each workload gets a decision: rehost it, refactor it, replace it with a service, or retire it. Applications that are close to end of life are often cheaper to replace than to migrate, and saying so early saves a great deal of money.

Model the Cost Before You Commit

Cloud pricing rewards right-sizing and punishes idle capacity. We model storage tiers, egress, licensing and reserved capacity against realistic usage, then set budgets and alerts from day one. The NIST definition of cloud computing (SP 800-145) is still a useful common language for agreeing what a service model actually commits you to.

Identity and Security Come First

Single sign-on, conditional access and least-privilege roles should be in place before the first workload lands, not bolted on afterwards. A Cloud Migration is one of the rare moments when you can rebuild permissions properly instead of copying twenty years of accumulated exceptions.

Cutover, Rollback and the Week After

Every migration wave needs a tested rollback, a defined freeze window, and someone whose only job during cutover is to watch and decide. The week after go-live matters just as much: performance tuning, cost review, and closing out the temporary access that always gets granted under pressure.

Where This Fits

Cloud Migration work sits naturally alongside our IT consulting practice, with ongoing managed IT services picking up monitoring and support once workloads are live and managed cybersecurity covering the new attack surface. If you are planning a move this year, schedule a consultation and we will map out the waves with you.
